Some 321 pre-school up to Year 6 students from Dato Basir Primary School attended the nationhood briefing programme titled ‘Our Monarch, Appreciating the National Flag and National Anthem of Brunei Darussalam’ recently.
The on-going programme is organised by the Nationhood Unit of the Strategic Communication Division at the Information Department to cultivate love towards the monarch and the nation.
The programme also aims to inspire solidarity and patriotism among students.
The talk was delivered by Head of the Nationhood Unit Noorhijrah binti Haji Idris. Topics included the monarch, procedures in hoisting the national flag and the history of the national anthem Allah Peliharakan Sultan. The programme also showcased video presentations on the procedures for hoisting the national flag.
Also present were the school’s Headmistress Hajah Sarinah binti Haji Ahmad along with teachers of the school.
