Students learn about Brunei currency, financial management

AUTORITI Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD) received 364 Years 4 and 5 students from Seri Mulia Sarjana School recently for the Visit AMBD Programme.

The programme has been running in six separate sessions in recent weeks.

The students learnt about the Brunei currency and financial management through educational activities and games.

They learnt about the making of the Brunei notes and coins, the security features, and the dos and don’ts of handling Brunei currency.

The students also brushed up their mathematical skills during the games on savings to enhance their knowledge on financial management.

The Visit AMBD Programme is organised by AMBD for schools and organisations. The programme features a talk on AMBD’s roles and responsibilities, a tour of the AMBD Currency Gallery, or interactive educational activities relating to financial management.

The programmes are tailored to the request of the organisation. AMBD also offers awareness roadshows for organisations or government ministries, which will feature talks on AMBD’s roles and responsibilities and topics relating to AMBD, such as Islamic finance.

Those interested in the Visit AMBD programme can contact AMBD at 2388388, email [email protected] or visit AMBD’s website at http://www.ambd.gov.bn.
