Some 168 students of Chung Hua Middle School, Kuala Belait (KB) attended the Information Department’s ‘Get to Know ASEAN’ roadshow held on Saturday.
Head of International Affairs Unit at the Information Department Mufidah binti Abdul Hakim briefed the participants. Chung Hua Middle School (KB) Principal Dr Chong Kui Hian, deputy principal and teachers were also in attendance.
As the Secretariat of the Information Sub-Committee on Information (SCI) under the ASEAN Committee for Culture and Information (COCI), the roadshow aimed at instilling the spirit of unity or ASEAN-ness among the students.
It is also to appreciate the functions and roles of ASEAN’s establishment and expand awareness among students as they are part of the ASEAN community under the motto ‘One Vision, One Identity, One Community’. The event proceeded with an ASEAN quiz.
The ‘We ASEAN’ mobile application was also promoted during the roadshow.
