Fourteen students, accompanied by five teachers from the NTec Heavy Machinery Technician programme at the School of Energy and Engineering Central, Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE), recently conducted an educational visit to the National Youth Skills Institute Miri and Sime Darby Industrial.
Head of the HNTec Automotive Engineering, NTec in Heavy Machinery Technician, and NTec in Light Vehicle Mechanic programmes Haji Md Khairulanwar @ Syafi’ie bin Haji Md Haranadi led the delegation.
Deputy Director of Students Affairs Kaya Raju greeted the group at the National Youth Skills Institute Miri.
The delegation visited Sime Darby Industrial, where they were received by Project Manager Fadli Shah bin Md Shah.
The visit’s objectives were to enhance students’ awareness and motivation in heavy machinery and automotive fields, and to gain a comprehensive understanding of the teaching approaches, facilities, and current policies of both institutions.
The visit also aimed to strengthen the relationship between IBTE and the key industry players. – James Kon
