Students attend talk on top-ranked university in Scotland

A free presentation on the University of Edinburgh was held yesterday at the Findlay office in Gadong for prospective students and parents.

On hand to deliver the talk was the university’s international recruitment manager, South East Asia and Australasia Louise Zeelenberg.

The university, founded in 1583 and a member of the prestigious Russell Group, is ranked 15th in the QS World Rankings 2023 and 29th in the Times Higher Education World Rankings 2023, Findlay education services said in a press release.

Located in the city of Edinburgh, it has over 44,000 students of whom over 21,000 are international students from over 160 countries.

Zeelenberg shared that the university has three colleges split into 21 research-active schools.

With over 400 undergraduate degrees, 300 postgraduate taught programmes and 135 research areas covering a wide range of academic disciplines, the university is a popular destination for prospective candidates with a strong academic profile.

The university also has a large number of top-ranked university exchange partners in a number of countries, where students can broaden their learning experience.
