UNIVERSITI Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA)’s Student Council members for the 2018/2019 academic session recently underwent a three-day leadership course held in Outward Bound Sabah in Kinarut, Sabah.
During the trip to Sabah, the students visited a number of museums including the Islamic Civilisation Museum, Sabah Museum, and the Aquarium & Marine Universiti Malaysia Sabah.
Some of the activities during the first day of the leadership course included extreme sport activities such as rock climbing and abseiling to test their mental and physical endurance.
The students also went to climb the Outward Bound Sabah hill on a three-kilometre track and went on a kayaking activity, flying fox and also tree climbing. An outdoor cooking training was also given to the students as part of a survival training while living in the jungle.
The final night of the course saw a team building activity with games. On the final day, they also learnt raft-building and rowing skills.
All the students received certificates from Executive Director, Outward Bound Sabah Chai Moi Len, marking completion of the course.
