Since the change in welfare assistance programme, we have been receiving BND250 less than we previously had, due to the fact that my permanent resident wife was dropped from the initiative.

Since the removal of my wife’s financial aid, we have been struggling to make ends meet.
I have been trying to make my dollar stretch, but after paying off monthly utility and phone bills, I’m left with BND25 to keep my wife and two children fed.
There have been countless letters in the Bulletin’s Opinion page on the underprivileged falling through the cracks. I believe I’m one of these individuals.
I hope the authorities could hear my plight.
