The Personal Contact (PC), a programme initiated by the Information Department at the Prime Minister’s Office, is aimed at strengthening ties between the government and the people through the dissemination of information and government’s policies while gathering feedback that needs attention and action by relevant government parties.
The programme was conducted yesterday for residents of Kampong Labi I in Mukim Labi in the Belait District.
Leading the delegation from the Information Department was the Senior Information Officer as the Section Head of District Divisions Haji Fathi Foad bin Dato Seri Setia Haji Abu Bakar.
Haji Fathi Foad shared the impact of hot weather and heat wave, mental health, MOHCares application, initiatives to curb the misuse and trafficking of drugs, money scam through Telegram App as well as the Talian Kebajikan 141 and Talian Anak 121.
A dialogue session was conducted during the programme that saw a discussion on issues raised by the villagers, which among all were infrastructure and public amenities.
Acting Village Head of Kampong Labi I Hanapi bin Mohamad Siput welcomed the PC programme, which is conducted as a platform for villagers to voice their views, exchange ideas for the welfare and well-being of village residents.
