BAJOO is always looking to do something different and also provide variety to the small but growing fashion industry in Brunei.

By having experienced and established designers like Malaysian fashion designer Khoon Hooi in Brunei, it will enable Bajoo to contribute back to the industry by having a new name in their store.

Co-Founder and Creative Director of Bajoo Jacqueline Cheong said this at the meet-and-greet session with Khoon Hooi, who was on a brief visit to the country over the weekend for his Raya 2018 Collection Preview where he had personally chosen Bajoo to showcase.

Jacqueline added that among the guests at the event were local designers invited by Bajoo to give them the opportunity to meet a personality like Khoon Hooi.

Khoon Hooi has spent 15 years in the business, specialising in bespoke tailoring. His label, Khoon Hooi, has been participating in the Paris Fashion Week for the past 12 seasons.

Khoon Hooi’s ready-to-wear collection is stocked in exclusive boutiques around the world including the Middle East, Europe and Asia while the Raya Collection 2018 is available for pre-order through Bajoo until May 5.

Jacqueline said that the branding of Bajoo and Khoon Hooi are quite similar as they have a lot in common. When two people have the same vision, it is easier to work together.

“We are completely honoured and excited that Khoon Hooi has chosen us. We will definitely endeavour to deliver on the market expectations that he may have,” said Jacqueline.
