Thirty-nine staff and officers from Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC ) participated in a three-day fire marshal course at the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) Headquarters from June 27-29.
The course was facilitated by the Public Relations Division of FRD Headquarters and Operation ‘F’ Branch.
A similar course was also organised for staff and officers of Baiduri Bank on Thursday, which saw 17 bank officers and staff participating.

The participants learnt the importance of fire safety such as the causes of fire, understanding the action needed in the event of a fire breakout, with a systematic evacuation exercise, as well as learning the correct way of using a fire extinguisher and fire blanket and what to do when trapped in a building during a fire.
Participants also visited the Women’s Operations Unit station and learnt about the equipment used in firefighting.
