Sri Lankan businesses encouraged to invest in Brunei

NATIONAL Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brunei Darussalam (NCCIBD) President Haji Mohammad Hanafi bin Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haji Abdul Rahman and NCCIBD Acting Secretary Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Saim met the non-resident Acting High Commissioner of Sri Lanka Omar Lebbe Ameer Ajwad based in Singapore to discuss business ties between the two countries’ National Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently.

“We encourage the Sri Lankan business counterparts to invest in Brunei Darussalam and make Brunei as a hub to other ASEAN nations and also Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand markets,” Haji Abdul Halim said.

“Our country’s strength is in Halal Certification of Food & Beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetic products and so on.”
