The spiritual ‘vaccine’ is a powerful shield against COVID-19, in addition to adhering to the health restrictions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) outlined by the Ministry of Health, said Ra’es of Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar.
He highlighted the benefits of seeking blessings from Allah the Almighty and strengthening pious acts to gain protection from COVID-19 during the ‘Divine Vaccine and Tawakkal Roadshow’ organised by KUPU SB and the Mosque Affairs Department at Kampong Sungai Besar Mosque yesterday.
“As citizens and residents of the government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, we are very fortunate and grateful to have a leader who cares for his subject’s safety.
“His Majesty always reminds us to recite Zikir (remembrance of Allah the Almighty), read Al-Quran and recite Doa as a shield from being infected with the virus,” he added. “Performing good deeds, including reciting Surah Yaasiin and other verses from Al-Quran, not only brings benefits such as protection from the world’s disasters but also in the hereafter.”
Dr Haji Adanan also discussed various disease outbreaks that have claimed more than a trillion lives around the world over the centuries.
He said the Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) Sunnah as well as virtue and character are the best examples to follow and incorporated into the daily life.
