The Royal Thai Embassy in Brunei Darussalam is organising a Thai Movies Night reception at Level 3 of Mahakarya Institute of the Arts Asia in conjunction with the Brunei Film Blitz 2020 on December 17.

The embassy will introduce two Thai films – Happy Old Day and Low Seasons – with support from the Ministry of Culture of Thailand and the National Federation of Motion Pictures and Contents Associations (MPC) of Thailand.

Happy Old Day, directed by Chutimon Cheungcharoensukying, is a 2019 Thai love drama that follows a young woman, who is confronted by her unresolved feelings for her ex-boyfriend when she finds items and memories of him while clearing her house for renovation. She must face the difficult decision of whether to discard or return the items.

The 2020 Low Season is a light-hearted romantic comedy, directed by Naruebodee Wechamkam, about a young woman who finds a second chance in love after deciding that it was impossible to have a normal relationship, because she is haunted by ghosts.

Happy Old Year and Low Season will be screened at 5pm and 7pm.

Ambassador of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam Wanthanee Viputwongskul will host the reception.

The embassy will also organise a Thailand Bazaar from December 30 to January 3, 2021, at OneCity Shopping Centre.
