After a decade, the KIA Carens is set to make an impact in the local multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) market targetting families with its redefined class leading features. The all-new KIA Carens will make its debut and will be available for public viewing tomorrow at KIA showrooms nationwide.

“The all new Carens is truly a family mover, but thanks to its elements of sportiness it will definitely set your family apart from the rest,” shared Grand Motors, Product Trainer Jimmy Khoo during a media preview yesterday.

With the family in mind, space is not an issue for the new Carens with the three-row seater featuring the longest wheelbase in its class. With it comes exceptional head room for the driver and the passenger and ample luggage space enough for any family.

The interior also focusses on delivering practicality by creating multiple storage spaces for various needs and small but valuable convenience features.

The car also comes equipped with a plethora of practical features to make life easier. From connectivity features, including wireless Car Play for both Android and Apple, to flexible seating options and features such as the rear door spot lamp and the bottle and gadget holder in the third row, the Carens literally redefines automotive practicality.

On the exterior, the KIA Carens features a bold design with a bold stance giving it an SUV-like road presence. With edgy character lines and rich volume within its bold side profile, the design of the Carens results in a sporty yet sophisticated combination. The modern and high-tech design of the Carens is aimed at millennials, with eye-catching characteristics and unique aesthetics.

“It is also highly fuel efficient especially the eight-speed IVT 1.5 petrol option of the new Carens,” shared the product trainer.

The all-new KIA Carens offers a number of active safety features. The model comes with a hi-secure safety package. Included in the majority of the trims are six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), vehicle stability management (VSM), hill-assist control (HAC), downhill brake control (DBC), and all-wheel disc brakes.

While the ESC protects the car from the loss of traction, HAC and DBC allow drivers to drive uphill and downhill with confidence. Additionally, the VSM ensures occupant safety by offering stability to the car when the driver must perform sudden braking and turns.

The company has also offered front-parking sensors including reverse camera, and rain-sensing wipers for the car, giving utmost confidence to the driver at all times and allowing them to fully focus on road conditions ahead.
