Nissan Brunei unveiled the New Nissan NV350 Urvan facelift at OneCity Shopping Centre yesterday.

The model comes in two variants – narrow or wide version – and is equipped with a powerful 2.5L YD25DDTi turbocharged engine with clean-diesel technology.

When it was first introduced in the Sultanate in 1993, Nissan Urvan was a benchmark in the light commercial vehicle segment. It’s an ideal vehicle for big families travelling together for a long journey as well as it makes an excellent commercial vehicle that can transport goods as well as employees.

The New Nissan NV350 Urvan facelift variants for the Brunei market are the nine-seater Narrow Body (Low Roof) and nine-seater Wide Body (High Roof).

Having both the Nissan Urvan Narrow and Wide Version (High roof/low roof) provide diverse options for customers.

The Wide Version provides additional space in height and width to accommodate the higher interior volume. On the other hand, a narrow body is fundamentally ideal for family and business use.

The facelift incorporates a refreshing, newly-designed front grille boasting the new Nissan logo, an improved version of the front bumper, redesigned halogen headlamps with manual leveller, and an upgraded D-shaped steering wheel.

The turbocharged engine with clean-diesel technology, four cylinders in-line, is perfectly paired with a five-speed automatic transmission, handing New Nissan NV350 Urvan a max power of 95kw/3,200rpm and max torque of 356Nm/1,400-2,000rpm.

Commercially, the Nissan Urvan Wide Version can load up to 1,219 kilogrammes (kg), while the Urvan Narrow Version can load up to a maximum of 1,387kg.

The new Urvan is fitted with two frontal airbags and has intelligent features such as hill start assist, allowing the driver to hold the car for three seconds before switching from the brake to the accelerator pedal. The feature comes in handy, especially in bigger vehicles like the  Nissan Urvan.

Nissan Urvan now also comes with a high beam assist that gives road users extra protection, especially in dark areas where high beams are frequently applied. High beam assist automatically allows Nissan Urvan to switch from High Beam to Low Beam upon detecting an approaching vehicle.

Other safety features which include Brake Assist System (BA), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), ISOFIX, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Seatbelt reminder alarm, and Child Safety Lock are also standard safety features for maximised protection for passengers in the event of an accident.

Product portfolio renewal is another step in Nissan to provide customers with the right arm for business use. With its refreshed styling, the Nissan Urvan with facelift maintains spaciousness while improving the driving experience for better road safety.

The new technology such as hill start assist and high beam assist gives a more convenient drive. With the diesel engine, Nissan Urvan is expected to be more powerful yet fuel-efficient.

Combined with the AT transmission, Nissan Urvan is the car for everyone to drive.

Sales Manager of Nissan Brunei Haji Shahrum bin Haji Jaafar said, “For customers seeking to own a ride with a spacious interior and a vehicle that is fuel-efficient, Nissan Urvan’s facelift would be the ideal choice to cater to daily driving inclusive of its low-cost maintenance and ownership.”

The public can view the New Nissan Urvan at the Nissan roadshow from February 15-19 in OneCity Shopping Centre.
