SOUTH Korea’s Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha will meet with Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof tomorrow morning.

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, will receive the minister in an audience in the afternoon at the Istana Nurul Iman.

This was highlighted at a press briefing by the Spokesperson and Deputy Minister for Public Relations Noh Kyu-duk, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea stated yesterday.

Noh emphasised that this year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea (ROK) and Brunei Darussalam, and also the 30th anniversary of dialogue relations between the ROK and ASEAN.

The upcoming Foreign Ministers’ Meeting will become an important opportunity to discuss ways to step up bilateral cooperation with Brunei Darussalam, which began its three-year term as the country coordinator for the ROK-ASEAN dialogue relations in August last year, as well as ways to advance the ROK-ASEAN relations.
