SOP violators in rural areas

Despite the high number of new COVID-19 cases reported on a daily basis, there are still people who refuse to follow the standard operating procedures.

This is especially common at convenient stores in rural areas, where some residents are seen violating the rule by skipping the mandatory QR code scan at the entrance. When confronted by the store owner, they bargain with statements such as “It’s just one item” or “I’ll be quick”. It puts other customers in an uncomfortable position and at risk of virus exposure, should these rule breakers be infected. I hope the authorities could devise a way to get the message across in rural regions.
