Starting on the eve of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Radio Television Brunei (RTB) will broadcast more than 80 programmes via television channels RTB Perdana, RTB Aneka and RTB Sukmaindera, as well as through radio channels Nasional FM, Pilihan FM, Pelangi FM, Harmoni FM and Nur Islam FM.
Head of Radio Programmes Koh Thian Chan; Assistant Head of Radio Programmes Salmi binti Haji Ibrahim; and Assistant Head of TV Programmes (Planning and TV Broadcasts) Hajah Hasiah binti Ali held a press conference at RTB Sungai Akar recently, to outline the television and radio programmes which will be aired according to specific categories.
Television programmes produced by the Majalah, Dakwah, Drama, Children, Entertainment and Reality units will feature community entertainment, with messages on Islamic values, as well as cultural traditions in celebrating Hari Raya.
Meanwhile, Cahaya Aidilfitri will offer religious and dakwah-based programmes such as Takbir Hari Raya Aidilfitri, a live broadcast of the Doa Sunat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Irsyad Hukum Sempena Hari Raya, Nadwah Khas Aidilfitri, Al-Hidayah, An-Nuur and Cinta Al-Quran Sempena Syawal.
Through Drama Raya, viewers will be entertained with Komedi Raya Nada Cali Tu, Tangisan Semalam, Ubaya-Ubaya Aidilfitri, Syawal Bisu, Rahsia Hati 2, Esukkah Raya, Sampai Syurga 2 (2021), Opis Raya, Alif Ba Ta Raya and Satukan Rasa di Aidilfitri (Prelude Sampai Syurga 2020), starting on the first day of Hari Raya through RTB Aneka and RTB Sukmaindera.
Sendaloka Raya will showcase programmes such as Cerdas Pantas Raya, Talenta Raya and Brunei Siuk – Raya Edition in the form of quizzes based around themes of nationhood. These programmes are aimed to educate, while at the same time channelling indirect information to the public.
Meanwhile, Raya Bersamamu 2021 will highlight local talent among children with different abilities.
Riang Ria Kanak-Kanak Raya, centred around children’s entertainment and education, will include Kids Sinar Special, ‘Abthal Al Islam Raya Edition, Geng Ramadhan Raya Edition and Cilik Bermukun Aidilfitri.
Hiburan Hari Raya will offer viewers entertainment programmes including Rentak Retro Raya, Muzik Santai Raya, Nostalgia Raya, Fusion Chat Raya, Komidi Raya and Express E Raya Raya.
Based on public demand, competitions such as Express E-hits Award, Best 914 and Bintang Harmoni, will be up for viewing on RTB Aneka and RTB Sukmaindera, during the festivities.
Starting on the first day of Hari Raya, all five RTB radio networks will broadcast programmes such as Raya Variety Show, Ragam Berpantun Aidilfitri, Raya Bersama Nasional FM, Expressi Raya, Sembang Malam Raya, Ku Petik Bintang and Harmoni Pujaanku Raya.
All radio networks will also air live interactive programmes to add more joy to the festivities, including Sembang Raya, Bacau-Bacau Raya, Aku SME Aku Inspirasi, Raya Shout Out, Duit Raya Pelangi, Dapur Raya and Pantun Ria.
For listeners wishing to interact on programmes based on religious discussion, Nadwah Khas will be aired via Nur Islam FM, while Nur Iman-Raya/Syawal will be on Harmoni FM.
Radio Brunei also provides programmes produced in collaboration with neighbouring countries under the memorandum of understanding (MoU) including Salam Mesra MoU RTB/Warna, Titian Senada Aidilfitri 1442/2021 and Pelangi Ria Muzik Mash.
Raya Acoustics will be aired on Pilihan FM, showcasing international songs performed by various nationalities in Brunei.
In addition, a telethon programme will be aired at 8.30pm on the eve of Hari Raya Mensyukuri Nikmat Raya.
Apart from showcasing local television programme, RTB will also offer several movie and telemovies from abroad including Trolls, Captain Underpants, Titus (Mystery of Enygma, 99 Nama Cinta, Raya Kali Ini, Syukur Syawal, One Last Raya Bersama, Pujaan Hati Kanda Raya, Kruise Cinta Lebaran and Mak Tak Bagi Balik.
