Some fuel stations to temporarily close for inspection

Some fuel stations will be temporarily closed for inspection and verification of pump reading accuracy.

The three-time-a-year inspection is in accordance to Chapter 151 of Weights and Measures Act 1983 and carried out by the Weights and Measures (SDT) Unit of the Industry and Business Ecosystem (IBE) Division under the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE).

Guidelines stated that all weighing and measuring machines used for trading purposes will be checked for accuracy and validity and machines are registered with the SDT Unit. The stations being inspected will be closed from 9am until completion. The process is expected to last two hours.

The fuel station to be inspected in February are: Tasamul Lumapas Petrol Station on February 7; Ikatan Teluk Mewah Petrol Station on February 8; Koperasi Perniagaan dan Perusahaan Melayu Berhad Petrol Station on February 9; Bebatik Petrol Station on February 11; Riverine Petrol Station and Syarikat Sepakat Petrol Station on February 13; Masjory Petrol Station on February 14; Mabohai Petrol Station on February 15; Telisai Petrol Station on February 16; and KOPEKLAP Petrol Station on February 20.
