Despite being heavily pregnant, I like staying active and walking around commercial areas.
However, the only downside is the frequent need to use the restroom.
In most places, there are public toilets to accommodate my condition. But I was recently at a market with my mother when nature called. Desperate, we walked across the road to a commercial building and entered a store to see if there had a restroom I could use. I was immediately turned down because the facilities were strictly for staff. I pleaded with the employee to bend the rule but she stood her ground.
While we did find a restroom 20 minutes later, I was still shocked by the lack of empathy in the woman. Sure, the rule was in place for a reason, perhaps to prevent its staff from allowing random non-customers to use their facilities. But given my condition, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect some latitude.
Heavily Disappointed
