In terms of performance, the L200 Sportero is fitted with a 2.4-Litre MIVEC engine, which is the key to its standout performance.

The DOHC common rail diesel engine is turbocharged and intercooled for dominant performance and optimum efficiency, delivering peak torque of 430Nm at 2,500rpm and 133kW of power at just 3,500rpm.

The L200 is constructed with lightweight materials including an aluminium block. The engine is among the smoothest, quietest and most efficient engines in the market, combining outstanding performance and unfussed efficiency in one package. The vehicle comes with six-speed Manual transmission.

Meanwhile, the 4WD Easy Select Function, which is designed by rotary shifter, allows the driver to switch between 2WD and 4WD modes allowing users to adapt to changing road conditions. The 4WD Easy Select has three modes to handle everything from smooth city lanes to hazardous conditions and rugged terrain with minimal grip levels, all controlled with a single switch.

Having been designed to climb up, over and around tough terrains with ease due to enhanced and tough suspensions, the L200 also claims a class leading 5.9-metre turning radius (U-turns) which makes it easy for parking and manoeuvring.

The L200 Sportero is also designed with dynamic shape and a high-quality finish to create an interior space that offers comfort and driving pleasure with the centre panel and connecting console featuring a bulky layout, perfect for a pickup truck and soft padding in seating areas that is made of high grade fabrics, including the armrest and parking brake lever, hence offering a luxurious feel as well as a sleek appearance.

A touch screen audio system with USB port, CD player and iPod compatible and steering built-in with audio switch as well as adjustable tilt and telescope for driver’s convenience are among the features in the cockpit area.

With the cabin space of 1,745mm from driver to rear passenger, it claims class leading cabin space whereby passengers may experience comfort and leg-stretching relaxation and the additional strategically placed sound insulation and vibration damping material contribute to a quiet, comfortable ride and pleasurable journey.

On the exterior, the L200 Sportero is built with maximum stability and traction, with the rugged frame and aerodynamically contoured body contribute to solid handling and stable highway performance.

In-line with latest Mitsubishi models’ Dynamic Shield Design concept, the front lamp is equipped with day running LED lights placed high on the bonnet, giving improved visibility for oncoming vehicles while front and rear fog lights are placed at the lower front bumper.

The 18-inch alloy wheels equipped on the L200 provide more precise steering and better grip in both wet and dry road conditions, while there are also side steps for driver and passenger’s convenience.

Seven variations of colours are available. They are Sunflare Orange Pearl, Sterling Silver Metallic, White Solid, Black Mica, Brown Metallic, Graphite Grey and Red Solid.

As for the safety features, the L200 Sportero scores a full five-star in safety rating of the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP), which includes seven SRS airbags (driver, passenger, curtain and driver’s knees), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution system (EBD), Active Stability Control (ASTC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA) as well as Active Traction Control.

The vehicle is equipped with pretensioner seat belts with force limiter, designed to recoil instantly during frontal collision, limiting injuries to the driver and the passenger. The seats are built-in with ISOFIX system with top tether for child safety.
