A Khatam Al-Quran ceremony was held for Tutong Sixth Form Centre (PTET) upper sixth students at the school’s multipurpose hall recently.
The event was organised through the student representative council and peer guides (MPP/PRR) for the 2023/2024 session, in collaboration with the PTET Parents and Teachers Association (PIBG-PTET) and the Department of Islamic Studies.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the guest of honour, Director of the Co-Curriculum Education Department at the Ministry of Education Julaihi bin Haji Mohamad/Mohamat. Muhammad Mustajab Hatadi bin Haji Mohd Bolkiah led the recitation of Al-Quran and selected surah-surah, while Adrianna Farisha binti Abdul Khalid led the recitation of Takhtim, performed by the lower sixth female students.
Muhammad Walid Wathiq bin Kharol Azmi recited Doa Khatam, while Dikir Marhaban was recited by lower sixth male students, led by Muhammad Adam Khairuddin bin Abdullah Muhamad Hassanuddin.
The ceremony also saw the presentation of certificates and sprinkling of scented oil by the guest of honour and parents. Souvenirs were presented to the guest of honour and decorative egg gifts were distributed to all attendees.
The event concluded with Muhammad Azib Fakhrullah bin Haji Mohammad Norazlin reciting a Doa Selamat.
Chairman of PIBG-PTET for the 2022/2024 session Haji Roslan bin Datu Hulubalang Haji Abdul Wahab, PTET Principal Muhd Shahnofazli bin Haji Sabli, PTET Deputy Principal Administration Haji Azrin bin Haji Bolhassan and PTET Deputy Principal Academics Koo Keung Eng were also present.
