Six students complete work attachment

Six pre-vocational programme students, who completed their work attachment at Sabli Food Industries (B) Sdn Bhd in November 2020, were feted during a certificate presentation recently.

Four students – two from Sayyidina Abu Bakar Secondary School and two from Sultan Sharif Ali Secondary School – completed their work attachment at Sabli Food Industries in Lambak Kanan Industrial Estate.

Another two students from Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam Secondary School completed their five-month work attachment in school by packaging spices supplied by Sabli Food Industries.

Haji Asrul Hamzy presented the certificates of participation to the students.

Andree Asmara joined Sayyidina Abu Bakar Secondary School Principal Sia Ai Chin, Sultan Sharif Ali Secondary School Acting Principal Hajah Noor Zinatul Ashiqin binti Haji Ibrahim and Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam Secondary School Deputy Principal Haji Mahleyuddin bin Haji Metussin in presenting the certificates of appreciation and souvenirs to Haji Asrul Hamzy.

The Department of Schools arranged the work attachments to support secondary schools and the Special Education Unit in identifying opportunities for students with special needs to gain valuable work experience.

Legislative Council member and Sabli Food Industries has been collaborating with the Department of Schools since 2015.

Legislative Council member Sabli Group of Companies’ Chairman and Yang Berhormat Haji Abdul Hamid @ Sabli bin Haji Arshad expressed his support in providing work attachment opportunities for students.
