A certificate presentation ceremony for six Pre-Vocational Programme students from Sayyidina Abu Bakar Secondary School, Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna Secondary School and Sayyidina Husain Secondary School was held at Little Gems Day Care Lambak Branch yesterday.
The students were recognised for completing work attachments at Little Gems Day Care Centre branches in Lambak and Tanjong Bunut in November 2019.
Manager of Little Gems Day Care Centre Lambak Branch Pengiran Haji Zahari bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad and Manager of Little Gems Day Care Centre Tanjong Bunut Branch Haji Jumaat bin Salleh were present at the event.
Principals from the three secondary schools, senior education officer from Department of Schools, an officer from Special Education Unit and four teachers were also there to witness the event. The work attachment was arranged by Department of Schools to support secondary schools and the Special Education Unit identify opportunities for students with special needs to gain work experience.
Little Gems Day Care has collaborated with the Department of Schools since 2017. Little Gems Day Care expressed its support in providing work attachment opportunities for Pre-Vocational Programme students in the future as part of the business’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) in all of its branches. Currently, Little Gems Day Care has four branches: Kiarong, Lambak and Tanjung Bunut in Brunei-Muara District; and Sengkarai in Tutong District.
Pengiran Haji Zahari presented the certificates of participation to five students from Sayyidina Abu Bakar Secondary School and Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna Secondary School. Haji Jumaat presented a certificate to the student from Sayyidina Husain Secondary School.
Deputy Principal for Academic of Sayyidina Abu Bakar Secondary School Hajah Junaidah binti Haji Tajudin, Deputy Principal for Administration of Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna Secondary School Pengiran Mohd Ariffin bin Pengiran Haji Aliuddin and Principal of Sayyidina Husain Secondary School Hajah Noramaliatifah binti Pengiran Haji Ahmad presented certificates and souvenir to the management of Little Gems Day Care as tokens of appreciation.
