The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) performed Isyak, Sunnat Tarawih and Sunnat Witir prayers yesterday to reap rewards through the acts of worship in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and spouse, and Singapore’s Minister for Social and Family Development, Second Minister for Health and the Minister-in-Charge of Muslim Affairs Masagos Zulkifli bin Masagos Mohamad and spouse joined the prayers at Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque.
Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan and spouse; Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim and spouse and Chief Executive of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore Kadir Maideen Mohamed and spouse were also present. The prayers were also joined by senior officials of the MoRA, the congregation and mosque takmir committee members.
Begawan Mudim Haji Amran bin Haji Mohd Salleh led the Isyak prayer.
A student of Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mohd Helmi bin Mohd Iskandar led the Sunnat Tarawih prayer. – Azlan Othman
