SHENA conducts site visit to observe safety compliance

The Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA) as the national authority responsible for workplace safety and health requested the cooperation of all companies to prioritise employees’ safety and welfare and to review their sites’ HSE practices and procedures.

SHENA informed that it has commenced unannounced surveillance visits to workplaces across the country and will continue to undertake such visits to verify compliance with HSE legislative requirements under the Workplace Safety and Health Order, 2009 and strongly warns that stern actions will be taken against companies who fail to comply.

SHENA inspectors will be identified by SHENA work vests and identification cards.
