SETIA Perdana booked their place in the quarterfinals of the DST FA Cup after a 2-1 win over Seri Wira FC at the Berakas Sports Complex last night.
The DST Super League side went ahead after Md Azim bin Said stole a yard from the unassuming defence to stroke home a tidy finish having been set up by a teammate.
Seri Wira came close with an instant reply when they hit the crossbar as a decent cross down the middle looked to be unrewarded on this occasion.
Two Setia Perdana players completely missed a cross as a chance of dampening the mood of the DST Premier League newcomers passed by.
The Premier League outfit entered the break with a shout but their task was made more difficult when Agus Haryono doubled Setia’s lead in the 49th minute.
Seri Wira halved the deficit through Mohd Aidil Yusri bin Kadir in the 76th minute but Setia held on for the win.
