Golfers can play and contribute by competing in the 19th Pusat Ehsan Charity Golf Tournament at the Pantai Mentiri Golf Club to be held from November 29 to December 1.
Senior Trustee of Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Alimin bin Haji Abdul Wahab revealed the tournament details during a press conference yesterday. Also present was Chairman of the organising committee Seruji bin Haji Setia.
The annual tournament, held for the second time this year, received overwhelming response from golfers nationwide in March this year.
“We maintain the theme ‘Perpetual Care’ that has been developed over the years that reflects the centre’s dedication for the development of more than 250 disabled under the care of Pusat Ehsan,” Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Alimin said. “Over the years, we have retained the theme as it underscores the centrepiece and purpose of the tournament.
“The tournament also aims to raise funds for the centre and to provide an opportunity for the public, especially private and corporate sectors. The tournament is part of the centre’s continuous public awareness campaign for the care of the disabled.”
Seruji added the tournament is also open to women and senior golfers. The registration fee of BND100 includes breakfast, lunch and the use of buggy.
The tournament will be conducted on the basis of ‘System 36 (Stroke Play)’. Attractive prizes await winners at the tournament including cars, cash prizes for hole-in-ones and Bull’s Eye at the ninth hole.
Borneo Bulletin, Media Permata and CityNeon will be the event and print media supporters.
