Seria Energy Lab (SEL) is set to join the Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition 2022 (Brunei MYCE 2022) for Energy Week from June 15-18, and Climate Change Week from June 22-26, at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Berakas.
A flagship programme of Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP), the science centre aims to support the growth of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education in Brunei through an immersive experience of interactive learning and exploration with state-of-the-art exhibits comprising four main zones – Oil and Gas, Future Energy, Aqualab and Smart Science.
The centre also features Makerspace, designed for younger children to conduct hands-on, engaging and fun mini-scale activities, incorporating both basic engineering and arts and crafts together.
Other than interactive exhibits, SEL offers competitions, such as Women in Science and Science Show Competition; a wide range of workshops covering different STEM elements with modern day learning methods, such as Innovation Hub and Shell NXplorers; and SEL’s outreach programme, Siuknya Sains, where activities and modular exhibits are brought to schools, festivals and educational events.
Specially-curated climate-related activities such as SEL Studio, Makerspace and Stress Nexus, will be conducted and are available to the public during Climate Change Week at Sejati Room 4.
The public can visit the SEL booth at the East Concourse on both weeks and purchase admission tickets to the centre at a discounted rate.
A wide range of SEL exclusive souvenir items, such as stationeries, tote bags, keychains, apparel and soft toys will also be available for purchase at the event.
