Senior golf tournament ends on high note

Brunei Darussalam Golf Association (BDGA) Senior Open 2022 concluded on a high note yesterday with the prize presentation at Royal Brunei Golf and Country Club, Jerudong.

The two-day tournament, organised by the Brunei Darussalam Golf Association in collaboration with the Brunei Darussalam Association of Senior Golfers, attracted 140 golfers. 

Brunei Darussalam Golf Association President Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Muda Abdul Hakeem and Brunei Darussalam Association of Senior Golfers President Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Pahlawan Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jaafar bin Haji Abdul Aziz were in attendance.

Azni Abdullah carded a total of 72 nett to emerged as the winner in the open nett category.

While Haji Rahmad bin Haji Japar placed second, with 73 OCB and in third place also with 73 OCB went to LTL (Rtd) Haji Jol Jublee. 

The winner of the open gross went to Aritz Maldini who recorded 74 gross. Bryan Chiew won second place and Awangku Muhd Syakir in third.

Johari Ahmad emerged as the winner of senior gross after finishing with 76 OCB. Suhaimi Ibrahim took second place and Chu Vooi Kiat in third.

For the senior nett category, Haji Abdul Khalib Latip took home first place with an impressive 68 gross. Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Sanggamara Diraja Major General (Rtd) Pengiran Haji Ibnu Basit bin Pengiran Datu Penghulu Pengiran Haji Apong came in second and Haji Zakaria Matnor won third. 

The ladies nett category saw Salyrinah DP Yahya in first place with 73 nett, while, Hajah Rosmeta DP Nordin won second place and third place went to Hajah Azizah Ahmad. 

In the ladies gross category, Almas Syadzwani Kamis claimed first place with 91 OCB, while Hajah Rusni binti Lamat came in second and Dayangku Siti Normashizriah binti Pengiran Nikman in third place.
