TWO speakers at a business seminar yesterday focussed on the fundamentals of business start-ups and effective marketing skills.
Around 100 individuals attended the seminar ‘The CEO: I’m Possible’ at The Empire Hotel & Country Club.
Organised by ALEIA Event Management, the seminar featured two successful Malaysian entrepreneurs as facilitators, Carl Samsudin and Hazwan Jasman.
Carl Samsudin is a founder of seven companies, including Bella Ammara Holdings, Sugarbelle, Seri Beauty Group, Naarabelle, Bella Booo, Jom Drop and Carl Academy.
Hazwan Jasman is a co-founder of Jom Drop and CEO of Lalaki.
Yesterday’s event also saw a special appearance by Belle Al-Yahya, described in an infographic from the event as “the lady behind Bella Ammara, Sugarbelle, Naarabelle and Seri Beauty”.
The seminar was aimed at changing mindset and raising awareness of self-employment which can help curb poverty and unemployment issues.
“We hope to have more similar events in the near future and we will continue supporting the entrepreneurs,” said the organisers.
According to information from the organisers, the event received support from Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings Sdn Bhd who, in conjunction with their 25th anniversary, sponsored 20 youth under the Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB) entrepreneurship programme to join the seminar as part of giving back to the society, especially for the underprivileged.
