Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) organised Semarak Hari Kebangsaan at the Chancellor Hall to mark the 40th National Day with Vice-Chancellor Dr Hazri bin Haji Kifle as the guest of honour.
The event’s highlight was a talk titled ‘Mendepan Bersama Berpaksikan Jati Diri dan Patriotisme’ by speaker Haji Ali Yusri bin Haji Abdul Ghafor. Attendees included students and members of UBD, as well as representatives from government and private higher learning institutions, sixth form students, and the public. The event also featured the sale of local products, showcasing Brunei’s traditional delicacies, crafts and traditional medicine.
The programme aimed to foster a sense of patriotism, uphold the values of Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) and cultivate a spirit of national pride. – Rokiah Mahmud
