SULTAN Muhammad Jamalul Alam (SMJA) Secondary School officially launched its CCA clubs at the school’s sports complex yesterday.

The event, organised by the CCA unit of SMJA Secondary School, began with the students march past representing several clubs followed by the singing of the national anthem and school’s song.

Principal Haji Juma’ata Sonadey bin Haji Mornie officiated the launch followed by an aerobic session led by the school’s PE Department.

The launch also saw a performance by the Shorinki Kempo Brunei Association and an origami showcase by the Indian High Commission in Brunei Darussalam.

Fifty-five CCA clubs are offered this year and are managed by six units. Students are required to choose one CCA club throughout their schooling session this year.

Senior Master of CCA Haji Moza Norhazahrin Shah bin Moksin hoped for all students to register and teachers implement initiative in terms of activities and competition internally or at an inter-school level.

He hoped for more visits, external coaching from invited experts and tight competition in achieving the best CCA Club of 2019.
