Search is on for female talent in SEA

To mark the end of Women’s History Month, southeastasiawomen.org has opened applications for the third cohort of women experts to be profiled on its platform until April 30.

Women of all ages and with clear examples of achievement in their respective professions from all 10 ASEAN member countries plus Timor-Leste are encouraged to apply.

Applicants should also be open to speaking, mentoring and opportunities for collaboration. The application form is available on www.southeastasiawomen.org.

Showcasing accomplished women from a range of industries, the platform aims to promote the exceptional pool of female talent in the region and to cultivate a culture of cross-border collaboration between women in Southeast Asia.

The website also aims to improve the accessibility to women experts in various fields, reducing obstacles to improved female representation as speakers, collaborators and mentors.

Applications will be assessed by the 2021 Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Women’s Leadership Alumni Network Board and selected applications announced on July 1.

This project is co-lead by two 2018 YSEALI Women Board Members, Aimi Ramlee, Co-Chair of the YSEALI Women’s Leadership Alumni Network, as well as Lim Chooi Yen, former Malaysia Country Lead.

Bringing together their backgrounds in technology and social entrepreneurship, with support from Tyne Solutions Sdn Bhd, they worked together to establish a platform that would enable women across the region to be better represented in industry events and regional projects.
