Scouts donate food and furniture for less fortunate

Food items and a number of furniture were donated by members of the BPG Scouts Association to the less fortunate on Saturday.

The BPG Scouts Association donated items to help lessen the burden of the less fortunate and help maintain basic living conditions. The donations were made at the residence of Metali bin Tiong.

The scout members helped move the items.This was part of planned activities to help the less fortunate in the surrounding area of Kampong Danau, Tutong District, according to Skip Beelie bin Tengah. Beelie, who was in charge of the project, explained that with the assistance of the Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB), they were able to identify those in need of aid.

“While the COVID-19 Pandemic has been a setback, we plan to continue to conduct similar projects such as this and more in the future, as it helps ensure that inclusivity for everyone in the community.”

Acting Village Head of Kampong Danau, Pengiran Dr Haji Mohammad bin Pengiran Haji Damit also took part.
