Members of the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) delivered food to several volunteer centres recently as part of its Iftar Kasih Ramadhan programme.

Led by PPNBD Commissioner of Welfare and Social Services Skipper Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd) Ramli bin Abdul Hadis and joined by Captain (Rtd) Haji Narawi bin Haji Omar Ali and Skipper Haji Mohd Khairul Anuar bin Pehin Penyurat Haji Mohd Salleh, the group first headed to the Youth Volunteers Centre at the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex, where they delivered packed meals to volunteers for breaking of the fast.

They also distributed food at the Youth Volunteers Operation Centre in Pusat Bahagia and Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS)  Hospital Sports Complex.

According to Skipper Haji Mohd Khairul Anuar, the programme involved the preparation of food by the association’s members before distributing it to COVID-19 volunteers. Members of the public stopping at the PPNBD headquarters will also receive the packed meals.

Some 500 packed meals, comprising bubur kacang hijau, sweet corn and packet drinks, were distributed to the volunteers.
