The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Brunei Darussalam recently handed over 22 laptops, 300 books, 40 board games and 350 lanterns to eight Chinese schools in Brunei Darussalam.

TECO representative Andrew Lee expressed his admiration for the belief and vision upheld by each school’s board members, teachers and administrative team.

He said TECO is pleased to be part of the concerted effort working with the Chung Hwa School system and the local community to strengthen and promote quality education, and hoped the donations can act as an incentive for the students to learn and explore themselves more.

In handling the COVID-19 epidemic, Lee commended Chung Hwa School for their swift and effective measures to strengthen prevention measures with the development of new teaching techniques, which ensured that the students scored well in each level of Brunei’s national examinations last year.
