A number of local schools celebrated the 39th National Day by holding special activities for students to mark the occasion.
Yesterday, Chung Hwa School Kiudang celebrated the occasion by singing the national anthem, hoisting the flag, and a reading of the National Day Oath.
Students and teachers also formed the number ‘39’ in Jawi at the school compound.
On Tuesday, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) Primary School celebrated the 39th National Day with the singing of patriotic songs, the national anthem and a march-past by the students from Year 1 to Year 6. Students also lined up to form the number ‘39’ at the school coutyard, followed by a silat performance by 21 Year 5 students.
