Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic School (SASHHB) yesterday received a royal visit from His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam as part of the monarch’s visit to learning institutions.
On arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan and SASHHB Acting Principal Haji Norhisyam bin Haji Mohd Noor.
Also present during the visit to SASHHB were Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman and Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid.
During the visit, the monarch was greeted by students and later signed the school’s plaque.
His Majesty also interacted with the students, army cadets, police cadets and scout members.
His Majesty then toured the library and observed classes being carried out and took a closer look at the teaching aids.
His Majesty also signed a royal parchment and received a pesambah.
Prior to departure, His Majesty had a photo session with the teachers and management, as well as interacted with students. – Rokiah Mahmud
