School holds Khatam Al-Quran for Primary 6 students

THE Rimba Religious School, Brunei II held its Khatam Al-Quran for Primary 6 students who completed their religious school studies this year at the Collaborative Hall of Rimba Secondary School.

Principal of Rimba Secondary School Haji Malai Shah Eran bin Syed Haji Yussof was the guest of honour.

The ceremony began with 60 students reading verses of Al-Quran.

The ceremony concluded with a Doa Khatam. The students received their Khatam certificates and were celebrated with a Dikir Marhaban performance and sprinkled with scented flowers and perfume.

Khatam ceremonies are held to encourage students to continuously be with well-versed with the recitation of Al-Quran and complete the 30 Juzuks of Al-Quran before completing their full religious studies. It also aims to keep the practice of Al-Quran recitation as a heritage for levels of the community in the country.
