School holds Autism Awareness Week

DES School recently held an Autism Awareness Week for families with children of special needs. All families were involved in the fundraising activity. It was held in conjunction with the World Autism Awareness Day which fell on April 2.

The objective of this event was to raise funds to buy learning equipment for the special needs section.

The programme started with a Doa and a welcoming remark by Principal Bahrein bin Haji Abu Bakar. It was followed by dance and games.

The programme concluded with the releasing of blue balloons by the principal. Blue balloons symbolised the school’s support and raised awareness about children with special needs.
