Pengiran Abdul Wafi bin Pengiran Haji Md Ali was elected the new chairman of Sayyidina Ali Secondary School (SMSA) Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) for 2023-2025.
The vote by 59 parents and teachers was witnessed by Principal and PTA Advisor Steven Shim Sheau Huei.
The principal in a speech highlighted the challenges faced by the PTA during the pandemic and how the close collaboration of parents and teachers helped the school attain its achievements. He expressed hope that the new PTA committee will continue to work on the initiatives laid out by their predecessors.
Former chairman of the PTA Nordin bin Haji Zainal gave a presentation of the activities organised by the committee in the past three years.
The new PTA leadership include Deputy Chairperson Hajah Mazizan binti Haji Mohammad, Secretary Nur Mahirah binti Abdullah Bungso, Deputy Secretary Mohammad Yusdi Sofiedon bin Mohamad Yusof, Treasurer Hartinie binti Haji Ahmad Jawawi and Deputy Treasurer Pengiran Md Waidin bin Pengiran Omar.
The event concluded with the handing over of PTA work files and certificates to former and new committee members.
