    Savouring Malaysian delights while cruising along

    Tourism Malaysia Brunei Darussalam in collaboration with Straits Central Agencies (SCA) (B) Sdn Bhd organised a one-day exclusive river cruise themed ‘Baba Nyonya’ along Brunei River recently.

    Guests donned Nyonya Kebaya and Lokchuan attire provided on board.

    The promotion, in cooperation with Kowira Café and Catering Sdn Bhd, aimed to bring a ‘Malaysia Experience’ to the public.

    Charge d’Affaires of the Malaysian High Commission Nadia Azura binti Mohd Nudri was the guest of honour, joined by Managing Director of SCA (B) Sdn Bhd Haji Musa bin Haji Adnin and spouse Hajah Suraya @ Saudah Hashim, Director of Tourism Malaysia Brunei Darussalam Haji Ibrahim Seddiqi bin Talib, General Manager of Kowira Café and Catering Sdn Bhd Hajah Suraya binti Mangong and Operations Manager of Brunei River Cruise Daniel Hilma Sii.

    Haji Ibrahim said Bruneians’ favourite destinations is Malaysia and as travel restrictions are still in place, the cruise helped bring the unique Malaysian experience to customers.

    SCA (B) Sdn Bhd General Manager Nur Khadijah binti Abdullah said the collaboration was also in support of Brunei’s domestic tourism, and river cruise is one of the local tourism activities organised by the company.

    A wide selection of Melaka’s Baba Nyonya cuisines such as the traditional Nyonya Ikan Asam Pedas, and Melaka Ayam Pongteh are offered on board as well as a live preparation of Nyonya Assam Laksa and Chendol.
