Korean dishes such as Bibimbap, Bibimguksu and Tteokbokki are currently available at the Korean Cuisine Week at Simpur Herbal Café in Univerisiti Brunei Darussalam.

The Korean Cuisine Week, which concludes at the end of this week, is a collaboration between the Embassy of Korea in Brunei Darussalam and Simpur Herbal Café.

Korean Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Kim Soung-eun said chefs from the embassy and café have prepared six Korean dishes.

“I believe that the carefully selected menu is a good representation of Korean food,” the ambassador said. He added that the Sultanate currently has over 10 Korean restaurants and he is proud to see Korean food gaining popularity.

The event’s objective is to introduce authentic Korean dishes to the public. Based on the guidance of Chef Lee from the Korean Embassy in Brunei Darussalam, the menu for the Korean Cuisine Week also includes Japchae, Korean fried chicken and Omija Juice.
