The Sarawak government will set up Sarawak Trade and Tourism Offices – one in Brunei Darussalam and another in Kalimantan – once the COVID-19 pandemic subsides, said Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts of Sarawak Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.
He said they have identified a place in the Sultanate to establish a Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office, Malaysian media reported.
“Plans to open such offices in Bandar Seri Begawan and Pontianak in Kalimantan are a bit disrupted due to the coronavirus these last two years,” he said.
“We have already set up our Trade and Tourism Office in Singapore (Statos),” he said during a press conference after launching the largest Sarawak-themed mural painting at the Borneo Convention Centre in Kuching.
