Running for students in need

Fifteen runners raised BND1,000 for the Goals for Education campaign at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas recently.

This initiative was inspired by LiHO Tea Brunei and supported by Tech Haven, EpiPeople Consultants, KnowledgeLine Training & Consultancy, EduChamp Academic Tuition School and Asanty Collections, who pledged for the campaign after the runners completed their 200-metre or 5,000-metre run within the targetted time.

For the 200-metre male category, Mizi completed the challenge in 23.71 seconds while Abdul Aqil bin Abdul Kadir clocked 23.73 seconds and Rynhardt Steyn finished in 24.33 seconds.

For the 200-metre female category, Maya Walker completed the challenge in 28.53 seconds, followed by Chong Ming Rui in 30.61 seconds and Dayangku Ummi Ramizah binti Pengiran Haji Jeludin in 33.41 seconds.

Meanwhile, in the 5,000-metre run, Vanessa On completed the challenge in 22.15 minutes while Muhammad Danisyh Syariee bin Mohamad Masrazni finished in 24.57 minutes and Cecilia Maksimon clocked 28.30 minutes. Goals for Education was an initiative by Dynamik Technologies in collaboration with Progresif which aimed to raise funds to purchase ICT devices for students in need.
