RTB sees increase in audience

The national broadcaster saw an increase in audience from 83 per cent in 2018/19 to 90 per cent in 2019/2020, according to Radio Television Brunei (RTB) Audience Survey 2019/2020.

The survey also revealed 85 per cent of Brunei’s population are tuned to RTB’s TV channels and 90 per cent watch the news broadcast by the Current Affairs and News Division.

Meanwhile, 96 per cent of respondents listen to RTB radio network.

The findings were revealed by RTB Head of Research and Development, Special Duties Officer Grade I Lim Kim Dien during a prize presentation ceremony for the survey’s lucky draw.

RTB Acting Director Haji Azman bin Haji Abdul Rahim, guest of honour, presented prizes to 50 winners.

Lim said the survey enabled RTB to improve by adapting to audience’s changing tastes.

The Audience Survey 2019/2020 was held from July 1-September 30 and had feedback from 6,577 respondents.
