Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) 1102 Rover Scout members picked up a whopping 80 kilogrammes of trash from the vicinity of the Seras Water Sports Complex recently.

Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPPNB) Training Commissioner Haji Othman bin Durani and UNISSA Rover Scout Trainer Zainudin bin Haji Ishak helped the team clean up a 100-metre stretch.

The event was held in the wake of the recent downpours, which triggered sea trash being swept ashore.

In accordance with the Rover Scouts’ motto ‘service’, the clean- up was held in response to World Organisation of the Scout Movement’s (WOSM) call for Scout members to carry out community service to protect the environment.
