Roadblocks recorded 72 traffic offences

A total of 72 traffic offences were recorded during a joint roadblock operation carried out by the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) at several locations in three districts, on December 23.

The operation commenced at 8pm, led by officers and personnel from the Traffic Control and Investigation Department; District Traffic Investigation Officers; Officers-in-Charge of police stations; and heads of units from other enforcement agencies.

At the Tutong-Muara Highway, personnel from the Tutong Police Station found 12 offences.

In the Lamunin area of the Tutong District, personnel from the Lamunin Police Station found seven offences.

In the Belait District, the roadblock led by the Panaga Police Station and Belait Police District Headquarters caught 18 offenders for violations.

There were also two offences under the Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED) and four offences under the Land Transport Department (JPD).

In the Brunei-Muara District, 26 traffic offences and one docket offence were recorded. There were also three offences under JPD.
