The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) conducted a number of roadblocks recently to prevent road accidents and to raise awareness on traffic regulations of the country.

In Tutong District, illegal modification of vehicles was recorded as the highest offences during a roadblock operation conducted by officers of Tutong Police District Headquarters and Tutong Police Station on November 7 at the Telamba, Telisai road area.

Twelve compound fines were issued for offences which included illegal modification, worn-out tyres and inadequate mudguards.

Meanwhile in Lamunin, 11 police personnel from the Lamunin Police Station led by Inspector Muhd Zulfadli bin Haji Yusof conducted a roadblock operation at the area of Kampong Batang Mitus, Lamunin.

Ninety-two vehicles were inspected during the roadblock and three offences were found – tinted windows, using curtain and a car horn not functioning.
